MediClaims for Windows offers a cost-effective, straightforward and efficient approach to claims administration.Its user friendly interface and EDI processes, in conjunction with the processing engine, allows claims to be processed quickly, accurately and easily in real-time.
MediClaims’ processing and editing capabilities encompass a range of functions, from standard Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug to FSA, HSA, HRA, COBRA Disability and HMO Capitation. Utilizing state-of-the-art EDI processes allows users to attain real-time Autoadjudication rates as high as 90%. Electronic funds transfer improves cash forecasting and cash flow, streamlines transaction processing and reduces operating costs.

Background
Professional Benefits Administrators, Inc., (PBA) is a third party administrator which processes claims for all sizes of partially self funded clients. Before PBA was incorporated, we had clients with various other TPAs in the state of Ohio. We found that some of those TPAs were not performing to our expectations and giving the client the information necessary to make informative decisions regarding their health benefit plans. Therefore, we thought that we would start our own TPA and give our clients the service they deserved. Thus PBA was born.
PBA was incorporated in March of 1994 and is licensed in the state of Ohio as a Third Party Administrator. PBA was established with the thought in mind that we could help our clients move forward in the ever changing world of health care. We strive to give our clients creative and innovative ideas to manage and promote their health care benefits package for their employees. At the same time, we give the employees of that corporation a benefit package that is comparable in today’s marketplace.
PBA has a sister company, Curtis Professional Group, Inc., (CPG). CPG has been incorporated for over 44 years in the Akron area. CPG handles the fully insured side of the business. They deal with most of the large insurance carriers.
The unique thing about our two companies is that we can provide a potential client with either a partially self funded or a fully insured quote. There are not many TPAs in the state that can provide a client with this type of service. Within our organization, we have four licensed insurance agents. These individuals are qualified to sell Life, Health and Accident insurance. These individuals have been selling insurance products for a combined total of over 50 years.
We feel that we have reached our goal in providing clients with “top notch” service and claims administration. We work hard each and everyday to establish new goals for ourselves. We want to be known as the “Best in the Business”.
